HI, whenever I let Riley into his crate, and while hes sleeping he breathes really really quickly....THis is not normal because when he is out of his crate he doesn't breathe like this. Is there something wrong with him or is this regular?

Is this the poodle mix? The one that just got to your home tonight?

If so, Gunner did something similar. When he was laying still or sleeping he'd breath heavy and it made me worry. After he got settled he breathed normally. I don't konw if it's a puppy thing or a stress thing...but for us it did stop after a day or two.

He's 14 wks now. He was 8 1/2 when we got him. There was one time he was breathing so hard, and sleeping so deeply, that it took a couple extra seconds to wake him up fully. THAT scared me!

If it really worries you, take him to the vet. You should probably bring him asap since you just got him...just to make sure everything is ok with him and all. Better safe than sorry.

You don't always have to schedule an appointment. It depends on the vet.
If you are worried, go to the vet and get him checked out. Give him time to settle in and see if he calms down some. :)
