I was looking at this website and the bottom picture, with all the littermates is disturbing!
Is it normal for puppies to vary so much in size?!

And look at this site! All they talk about is how to buy their pups! They say that people call in about the personality of an individual pup, but that it doesn't matter because they are all socialized. And not only that, but they say you cannot come visit the pups because it 'may spread parvo'.
Give me a break...

The only thing I could say about the Chi's of different sizes is that the middle one looked like the runt (obviously) and the one to the far left and to the immediate left of the runt looked related and about the same size. That one on the right was ridiculously big and IMO could have had a different father. That's the ONLY way I can see them being "related". It's still very disturbing to see one that big and the rest normal or small.

Tucker - that second site you posted is definately a puppy mill - RUN AWAY! lol

Any breeder that breeds MORE then 2 different breeds you should turn your cheek on.

A respectable breeder will usually stick with one or two breeds MAX.

Isn't that a ginormous litter for a Chi anyway? I thought they only had one or two pups, not four and mini hippo.

I am not looking for a puppy, just seeing what's in my area :). I would LOVE to get to know a breeder, help her out (if I could, LOL) with cleaning or anything she may need. It would be a good way for me to 'start my career'. I really want to do something with dogs (preferably, or just animals in general).
These people make me sick.

I had 2 mini hippos and two that could have passed for runts they were small and delicate in my litter. Thats just the way they came out,. To this day, I have 3 with me and they range from 30 lbs to near 50 now, at 18 weeks.

Sick..sick..sick !!!!! NEVER buy on line !!!!! That parvo stuff is a bunch of crap !!! Give out hand sanitizers , have people walk through a bleach solution ...remove shoes or wear booties. !! The prices are off the wall too ! I bet half these people are a dog ring ....you want a pup ?? We'll find one in 24 hrs.
