I am posting this for people to see where NOT to buy your puppies from. Being a Chihuahua owner I feel very sad that this breed has become so popular which causes many problems. People started breeding these lovely little dogs for money instead of breeding them for the love of the breed. There's a great number of Chis (specially in US I hear) in shelters..... those are poorly bred, unhealthy representatives of the breed that people abandoned because they either couldn't pay the vet bills or simply got tired of taking care of them  ....
And even though there are so many little babies out there looking for new owners there are people like this woman that will breed everything and anything and sell them as Chihuahuas...... there are so many things that are wrong about this person and I am seriously mad and sad.... if you have the time, check it out and read her articles....

A lot of those dogs don't even look like purebred chis, they looked mixed! I've never heard of a lilac chi

If you look at the pictures of current litters (there are too many) the Mom's have deffanetly don't look like pure Chihuahuas! Some of them their ears don't even stand up  Why people would purposely breed like that is beyond me :(

The funny (or more like sad) thing is that the person actually copied AKC standard on her site and yet she breeds dogs that are so far from standard, you can't even call them purebred!!
There's one more thing that I simply had to mention...... she says and I quote:"As a rule of thumb all female breeders should be over 6 pounds, unless you are a VERY experienced chihuahua breeder." ..... OMG!!!! The standard says under 6 pounds (3kg) everything else will be disqualified. Unless you're a very experienced breeder?? Every breeder, no matter what breed he's breeding should be experienced LOL. It's got nothing to do with the size of the dog. I'm not even going to start about her breeding bitches in their first season and then breeding her after 6 months again.

I couldn't help myself so I e-mailed her to clear some thing up. I was as nice as possible, but I'm expecting a nasty reply (if they even bother replying) ;) .

Well it looks like all her breeding stock is CKC or AKC Reg. They dont have 2 litters a year. You have to look at the number of breeding girls they have. ALOT. No I dont think they can give the pups the attention the diserve, but asside from the # of litters they arent that bad. I have seen alot worse.

I sure will, but honestly I'm not sure she will reply in the first place. I was as polite and friendly as possible though :) .....I'm not a confrontational person at all, but sometimes I just feel my head will explode if I don't say something. LOL

So far I have shown 3 diferent dobes at various shows.

No Im not a expert but I do show dobes.

I posted about how Dan is trusting me to show his bitch without him there for two days at a really big show here.

I couldn't believe how many litters they had available; or the fact that they never mentioned any kind of health checks on the parents; or that none of their dogs had been shown and I only saw ONE with any CH in it's pedigree and it was so far back I really don't think it would matter, IMO. They definitely don't seem like good breeders. I don't know about Chi's and their size/conformation regs but the rest makes 'em bad enough.

I know that people with no knowledge of the breed can't tell the difference. ;) But here is what a real Chihuahua looks like (my friend's Chis and my Billy who are also very successfull show dogs):

Now if you look carefully even an unexperienced person will notice that there's a massive difference between our Chis and the ones this person is breeding. There not one single dog on that site that fits the standard.... there are so many things wrong about these dogs that I won't even go into it.
Standard says 1-3kg (up to 6lbs) and this person is breeding Chis that are 6 kg!!! (12lbs). I was absolutely shocked.
One thing that really, really caught my eye was one bitch Rosa. Look carefully and check out this girls bite :( . It's grossly undershot and I can't believe someone would even consider breeding this dog!!! Not to mention her coat. At first I thought it was just dirty, but then I realized it was wire coat!!! A Wire Coat Chihuahua??? There must be a Terrier in that dog, so basically the woman is breeding mutts. :( And can you believe that this dog is actually CKC registered?? Do American kennels not check breeding stock and puppies that people breed? So basically I can pick any 2 shelter dogs I want, breed them and register those puppies without any problem? At least FCI agents come to your home, check out both parent (that obviously have to have all the tests done), check out the litter and only then he signs and stamps the papers.
