I was wondering if a dalmatian could live in an apartment happily? I've research and it said with A LOT of exercise outside it could be possible...but is it really? is 2 and more hours enough exersise?

Depends on the kind of excercise. If yu mean 2+ hours of intense running then yes. 2+hours of strolling around town won''t be enough.

But yes, if yu meet the excercise needs, a Dalmation can cope in an apartment. He should be taken out often for a stroll though on top of the intense excercise.

Almost any breed of dog can be kept in an apartment, as long as the owner has the proper dedication.

You need to be able to devote a lot of time to providing exercise, and I recommend having access to an off-leash park.

I agree with Gempress. I live in a 4 bedroom house with my boyfriend right now, and I can tell you that just cuz it's a beg house, Boone gets little to no exercise in the house, or in the backyard. Really his exercise comes from his walking, or dog park. So I think the size of the house or yard really should be irrelevant when deciding on a breed. Except of course getting a Great Dane in a two room apartment is a little silly. ahah
I love offleash parks. A good hour there, playing with other dogs, and running like the wind is as good as a three hour walk in my opinion.

Dalmations are very energetic dogs, but with lots of exercise, I think they'd be fine in a small house or apartment. My sister actually wants a dalmation, but is leaning towards a young lab to jog with. I think a dal would be a bit too much for her to handle at the moment. :)
