about 2 weeks ago my 2 year old chihuahua started acting strange she would get a strange worried look on her face then lift her front paw or hind paw in air she would get up to try and walk and stumble or have a hard time with cordination her head would keep bobbing afterwards as if she was dizzy it seemed almost as though she was drunk ,it would last maybe 7 minutes then she would get up and play she went through this for 3 days with the little spells coming and going like every hour on the hour after the 3rd day it all disappeared and she was acting like herself its been 2 weeks shes been fine now it seems to have started up again During all this she seems alert she responds to me.the first vet took blood sample and sent me home with seizure med. The 2nd vet said allergic reaction or inner ear infection he said if it were seizures she would not be alert.at this time I am not giving her any meds any advise or feedback of what could be the cause would be greatly appreiciated thanks in advance

Maybe get a 3rd opinion, but I'm more inclined to agree with vet #1. Some seizures cluster, then seem to disappear for awhile. Either way, I'd get another opinion.

She could be having mini seizures... keep track of everything and check with your vet. To me she's having more episodes , and lasting longer than most petite mals. I hate to say it, but she could have a brain tumor. Please keep us posted. Also.... could she be having an allergy reaction??

Sounds almost identical to a Chihuahua I had a few years ago..Nike (RIP:( ).

His seizures started out the same way. He lived a long and happy life on low dose meds. I agree with Zoom.

I agree with the others....sounds like seizures. My Lhasa used to have mild seizures and he was alert during them.
I'd go for the 3rd opinion too.

seizures from the sound of it, but a 3rd opinion would be good.
