Hi Everybody

I'm trying to figure out what training books and videos I should check out. I'm particularly wondering if there are any videos that show you how to train for obedience trials and show you what each of the obedience Divisions is like. I'm also wondering if there is anything out there for starting to train agility or Rally....Any suggestions would be appreciated! Thanks

For videos, check out Tawzer dog videos. They have quite a selection so you might find just what your looking for.

I just bought "Introduction to Agility" by Margaret Bonham and "Clicker Training for Obedience" by Morgan Spector. I've only peeked through them but haven't started reading them yet because I'm trying to finish the ones I started already. They both seem like good, useful books though.

There are a few books on Rally that you might be interested in (I have not read these either) : "RALLY-O: THE STYLE OF RALLY OBEDIENCE" by Charles 'Bud' Kramer and "CLICK YOUR WAY TO RALLY OBEDIENCE" by Pam Dennison.

My favorite dog related book is "The Culture Clash" by Jean Donaldson. Hands down the best dog book I've read. I felt like after reading that I could figure out how to get any behavior really. I go back to it time and time again.

I liked "Shaping Success" by Susan Garrett for an agility book; lots of good training stuff in there no matter what it is you want to train.

I'm a big fan of Pam Dennison so I'd try her rally-o book too definetly.

I like www.dogwise.com because you can read the back of the book, the title page and usually a few pages of CH 1 and CH2 of each book and also read reviews. Very handy.
