I am new here and I just wanted to let jess2416 know that I am not happy about her mis-using a graphic that I have on my web site www.mixedbreeddog.info to link to some site that has information about ovulation.
I know this is the internet and you cannot prevent people from doing a lot of things, but the purpose of that image is so that if someone wants to, they can link to my site.
And in case anyone is interested, the purpose of my site is to provide information about mixed breed dogs, not to encourage breeding of them.

2dogmom-the graphic is attached to the tickerfactory thing. It is just showing how old Chloe is. And that site is supposed to be used for human baby timelines, that's why there are fetuses in most of the timelines! And the other ones are for birthdays which we use. If anything, it is promoting your website, because I actually went there after seeing it in her sig. I sent you an e-mail offering you pictures of my guys for your website, but if your going to act like this, then I retract it.
Not a very smart move if you want to be accepted on this forum. You could have at least asked politely or understood the whole situation first.

Here is the text from my web site that describes the uise of the logo buttons that I created.
"If you would like to link to this web site, feel free to use these logo buttons."
What is there to misunderstand about that?

The fact that I am a "newbie" does not give anyone here the right to mis-use graphics from my site. If you and other member of this forum consider it appropriate to simply download graphics from whatever site you want and to use them for whatever purpose you want, then I am not interested in the images you offered. For all I know you got them from somewhere else off the internet.

Bailey+Raplh, that is exactly the issue. If it were linking to my site that would be great. Instead, the button links to a site called www.tickerfactory.com instead of to the mixedbreeddog.info site, and the first thing you see is about ovulation. Not what I intended when I made the logo button available for use.
Using pirated graphics is not something I do or approve of but then I guess I made to too easy for people to acquire the logo buttons. And for the record, I am not too worried about being "accepted" on a forum whose members think it is ok to pirate graphics.
My apologies to Crystal that this ended up on here intro thread, but this is where my web site tracking data referred me.

it says the full name of the website on the picture... that's how I found the website. I don't understand what the problem is, and probably PMing Jess politely would've been more effective, because we tend to be protective of our members ;)

Are you sure that this isn't a mistake on Jess's part and she thinks that this is linking to your site and not realising that it actually would take you to the Ticker Factory?
I do agree that a PM to Jess would have been better.

look I just wanted to use the graphic because I know it has been helpful to me, I dont know why it attached itself to the tickerfactory.com I tried to get it not to do that but it wouldnt no matter where I put it every time I clicked on it, it sent me to the other site but since it is such a big deal its gone you dont have to worry about me EVER refering anyone to your site again
