View Full Version : What Kinda Mutt is Archie?

Archie is about 8 months old and weighs roughly 30 pounds. He was advertised as a Bassett mix by the rescue agency, but I'm thinking more like a Dachshund with some Rhodesian Ridgeback. Others have suggested he has some labrador in him. What do you think?

Definatly looks like he has Dachshund in him to me :D

Definitely Dachshund, though, his body shape might suggest just a little bit of Basset in him.
Does your user name indicate that you went to Vanderbilt? Or that you have some affiliation with Florida State (Seminoles)?

Both. I went to Vandy but grew up a Seminoles fan.

Definitely a Dachshund!! Looks a bit like a Alpenlandischer Dachsbracke to me.....
One of my sons is at FSU now.
(We went to UGA, so we're Georgia fans). Off topic, though.
I can possibly see Bassett in your dog. Whatever it is, it's very cute. I've always loved Basset Hounds.

definitely alot of dachsund in him...i'd say basset cause he's a little bigger and ears look a little longer. :)

So it sounds like doxie/bassett is the consensus ... so much for Rhodesian! Thanks guys!

I saw Cooper in his face until I saw his body! lol Oh well, I'm not very good at this. (Cooper is a Vizsla)
