Ugly dog competition

Since Sam the ugliest dog died they are having a new competition. Unfortunantly voting has been suspended so you can't vote for any of them but you can still view the dogs. Many of them are elderly Cresteds.

I think the Chinese Crested are adorable if they are bred properly and groomed correctly lol With what little hair they do possess lol

some of them look like they need to be put down. but looks can be deceiving....whoo! tater tot = yoda (definitely)....victoria is just plain scary looking....munchkin looks like an Ewok on drugs or Chewbacca's brother, lmao....lucile bald = anyone ever seen the movie "Dark Crystal"...she looks like those things in the movie, lmao....:) poor ugly puppies.

They are missing front teeth. If cresteds are bred irresponsibly they can be born with missing teeth. Those dogs are kind of old so they may have lost them other ways. I read that some are rescues so they may have not had their teeth taken care of also.

PeeWee is very scary looking.. Poor dogs got a crooked face and they say he has "long nails", why don't they cut the poor things nails!!!

I REALLY don't like these competitions. You can get the odd person out there who would 'help' their dog look ugly. I just think it's a bad thing to promote.

I agree to, I find this competition sad. Its like saying "my baby is ugly". I know that unlike a child they cannot understand, but it makes me feel bad that people focus on looks this way and might even go out of there way to make the dog more uggly.

Exactly. I think if you love your dog, it doesn't matter how "ugly" other people think he/she may be, in your eyes, he's always gonna be CUTE! I'd be ashamed of entering my dog in the Ugly Dog Competition.

PS - Some of those dogs aren't even considered to be "ugly!"

I so agree with you....the CC is absolutely adorable!!:D It's kind of sad really, isn't it? I guess that beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder.;)

What a sad competiton winning money of your pet because he isn't the best looking dog around most likely most of these contestants helped their dogs out making them less appealing. So what if their not exactly the cutest dogs their still animal's its depressing what people do for money.
