Hi everyone, im new :)
Anyway, first of about me! well, my name is Dawn, and you can call me that or pink sheep, pinky, or whatever lol.
Im 14 (15 in june) and live in sunny (cough) northern ireland, lol.
I LOVE animals and i hope to be a vet when im older.
Im just as happy curled up on the sofa with a furry body, than out with one of my many friends, or getting all mucky down the sanctuary lol.
I volunteer at an animal sanctuary called Crosskennan Lane every saturday, and i just love it. the animals are just lovely and the people are fab aswell. the sanctuary cares for mainly equines, but also has small animals. at the sanctuary we do the mucking out, feeds and basically just care for the animals, but we also get to ride, walk the dogs, etc.
I am quite strong-opinioned and like a good debate lol, i am extremely against animal cruelty & testing. another thing would be fox hunting, and slaughter houses.
Anyway, enough about me lol. time for my fur-babies!
First of is Holly. we rescued Holly from the pound this year on the 22.feb after having to put down our last dog Tanya after 15 years due to cancer.
Holly is a 3 year old border collie bitch. she was abused in her last home and is very nervous but is getting better. she HATES footballs and lots of people, well when i say lots i mean like over 10 lol. so sometimes she can be a bit of a nightmare to walk, but even with her problems i love her dearly, she is such a sweetheart in the house and loves to give kisses lol. im glad we took her on and im hoping with lots of time and patience she'll become more confident, im already seeing improvement already =D

I also have 2 rabbits, 1 gerbil & 4 fish, but i'll will just tell you a wee bit about them and a link to a pic since this is just for dogs lol.
- Petal and Frisky. this 2 out my 2 dutch bunnies. i got them last year for my birthday. they were both meant to be girls but frisky (first called Rose) turned out to be a boy and we had to get him neutured before we ended up with lots of baby rabbits lol. they are both very friendly and like being petted, Frisky also licks your hand sometimes lol.

- Maisy, my little gerbil. Maisy is goin to be 4 this year which is quite old for a gerbil but she doesnt show it at all. she loves to come out and run about your hands. she is a little angel. i did have another gerbil called Daisy, who was Maisy's sister but sadly she died last year. it didnt really seem to effect Maisy that much though which i was worried it would have at first but i dont think she minded that much since she gets more treats and attention now lol.

- I also have 4 goldfish lol. they are actually all fish won from the mayfair which comes to ballyclare each year. we have won one each year lol. and they are all still alive which is quite surprising. i dont like the fish stands but i cant do much about it, and if i win one atleast im giving it a better home lol.
