Hey

His pedigree also includes lots of Oxcroft dogs which are a famous border terrier kennel.

Was his pedigree sent to you through an email? Can you save it on your computer? Maybe upload it as a pic to photobucket.com?

You need to save it to your computer then down load it into a web based photo album. Then you can copy the image location to here.

When your on the pedigree page, hit the "Print Screen" button (located on the top right of your keyboard), "paste" it into paint, save it, then upload it to imageshack.us (www.imageshack.us)
See if that works. :)

Personally when I look at a pedigree I like to see the majority of dogs titled. With only 6 dogs titled, and only show titles at that, it's not that impressive, no offense.. :o Most of the dogs should have both show and working titles. My dog's 4 generation pedigree has 20 dogs with titles, most of them with more than one title, in both show and working. That is what I like to see -- it shows that the dogs are sound in body, mind, ability, etc. Just being registered isn't enough for the dog to be bred in my opinion.

I'm sorry, I have to agree with wolfsoul
Although its a great start to the pedigree. Hopefully you are planning on getting your pups CH title and possibly some obedience titles?? :) Or even a Rally title! :)
Riot has 26 Ch title dogs in his pedigree Some with both AKC and CKC titles, others with a BISS or a BOSS or a BPIS as well as some HIT, TT, as well as numerous obedience titles as well as some working titles.
But, it all depends on what you what to do with your dog as well, if you aren't a big show person then why not just look for a pup with a minimal titled pedigree :)
i'm just trying to post Riots pedigree for you to see now.. :)

I told Summer that last night! A very well thought out breeding!
Here is one that is comparable. Its one of my females. She has a very nice pedigree. Kinda hard to see but there is only one untitled dog in her 4 gen pedigree. Lots of clearances too!

Nice!!! I like to see both working and show titles on a pedigree. Its shows that the line actually is in tune with the original purpose of a working breed. Sure a dog can look good but a working dog (or herding) is a working dog and should always be bred with the correct drive and temp suitable for that of a working dog.

Try to find a line of chows with both champion and working titles .. there are NO "working lines" at this point in chows.
BUT .. I managed to find a breeder who is showing her dogs in obedience, so Khana's dam and grandmother both have CD's at least. In addition, there are at least 18 champions in her four generation pedigree, 23 OFA listings, most with elbows done (some excellent hip ratings too). I'd love to see a working line of chows developed, and maybe Khana's breeder will work into that. I may breed Khana to help extend the lines but I really can't see myself as a serious full-time breeder. I would have too much trouble finding the right homes for my pups ("right" being a home that would be as good or better than I can offer .. *L*).
I could see myself down the line with 20 chows because I couldn't find homes that I approved of!
In the meantime, I will show and trial this amazing little brat of mine and prove that she is the quality worthy of breeding. We have a couple of years to get titles and health clearances before we seriously consider breeding. I'd love to see more people put performance titles on their dogs (regardless of breed) before they make them part of their breeding program.
