Nervous dog

My dog gets quite nervous around larger dogs and also around fireworks night with all the loud bangs, i've seen "Seren-UM" on www.pressies4dogs.co.uk (http://www.pressies4dogs.co.uk) under the well-being section, which says that it helps to calm anxious (and hyperactive or aggressive) dogs and i was wondering if anyone else has used this kind of product with their dog and whether it works?

also there are some great little gifts on the website above, spent ages having a look around, you can also personalise items with your dogs name on which is cool!

I know a few breeders who have spray stuff they sprayin a dog's mouth before they go in the ring. I dont think it works.

Do you really want to "drug" your dog because he's nervous?

they aren't drugs, it's a natural food supplement, like vitamins that we take. of course i wouldnt want to drug my dog!

i suppose it's like giving hyperactive kids a diet of veggies rather than sweets in order to calm them down!

plus, it's not very expensive to try and it does say, if in doubt consult your vet.

i think it will be a good to try at least, i mean i will talk to my vet if there's anything on the packet that im not sure about.

well, even if that doesnt work out there are some other great products on the website i want to try, :) lol

Any other suggestions about helping nervous dogs are very welcome!
