Mayberry is a Chocolate Lab. One of my older sisters and her friends were walking in the forest preserve behind our house (it's got a few trails and is simply gorgeous). They found a terrified Chocolate Lab. They brought her back to our house, telling us all how they found her while throwing her treats. Because I was young I stuck my hand under her mouth as she was eating (I thought that was what you were supposed to do :rolleyes:). Did she bite me? Nope. She just looked up from her food with a look that asked, "Is she going to take my food?" The police took her, but we couldn't let such a wonderful dog be euthanized. We adopted her. The first night she was terrified--she shook and panted, rolled her eyes. She was terrified of every single man on the earth. She thought they would hurt her, she wanted to stay by woman.
May is now confident, trained, perfect :D dog. She's a cuddle bug and is loyal to her family, but she also loves her exercise. She loves to go swimming whenever possible and enjoys raw bones and stuffed kongs. May is my angel.
