If you'll look at my signature you'll see that Toby has long hair on his feet (as cresteds do). In the pictures it looks great. But lately the hair has gotten very short and the only reason I can think of for this is that he is chewing it off. His feet are perfectly healthy. I don't understand why he is doing this. Any suggestions?
Because you've been away from Chaz too long!!! :D
Have you introduced any new foods? Has his routine changed recently? It could be anything from allergies to bored OCD chewing.

Hmm, if he has indeed chewed his own hair off, I think there would be some redness. Have you actually seen him chewing his hair?

We haven't changed his routine or his food so I don't think it could be that.
I have never actually seen him doing it but I can't think of anything else that could be happening.

Could be an allergy. Something in his environment. Try rinsing his feet after he goes outside for awhile. Though hair can take months to come back. BY the way. He is precious!
