Warning about sticks

A few weeks ago a person we know with a Blue Heeler was rushed to the vet to get a stick removed from her throat.

The owner in her daily routine took her dog to the park and threw sticks, until one day the stick bounched back at went straight down her throat. She was gagging and yelping, the stick was so far down she didn't know what to do. Luckily the dog survived after having the stick removed by surgery.

So, just a warning for people not to throw sticks to their dogs and replacing sticks with toys.

Did anyone see this story on CNN http://www.cnn.com/ its in the video section there isnt actually an article. This is the reason I refuse to throw sticks to chloe, I am scared something like this will happen to her.

Good warning about the sticks! I am part of an ACD group and something similar happend to a members blue heeler... happened about a month ago I think... I will look up the message just for fun to see if they are from Australia :p
