My pup is turning 6 months next week. We have yet to find a tooth and her adult tooth are starting to bloom. One of her bottom tooth is double.... is this something to worry about at this time or should we give it some more time to allow them to come out?

I can post a pic later on tonight if she's cooperative :)

i'd keep an eye on it. if it doesn't look loose and doesn't come out you'll have to have the vet remove it

Take the dog to the vet. The tooth should be removed as it can cause a lot of problems in very short order (including tooth decay or a malocclusion).

It should drop out on it's own soon... if not , yup- vet time.

Ask the vet what he/she thinks. Some baby teeth never fall out and then get crammed in with the adult teeth. Toby had to have 5 of his puppy teeth removed when he got neutered. Yah, seems like a lot of baby teeth to pull, but this happens more frequently with smaller dogs.

That may be a difference.... small dogs do have more teeth problems.

How much longer should I give it? She turns 6 months on 4/8.

Personally, if you can already see the adult tooth coming in, it's time to have the baby tooth pulled. Adult teeth grow in almost on a "track" (kinda)...something in their way will screw up they setting.

I've had double teeth with no problems... being a small breed. I'll leave it up to the experts .

Double teeth can misalign the bite, can trap food and hair between them and cause infections of the gum. Little dogs are notorious for such things and if the teeth have not fallen out yet and the adults are in, they probably are not going to fall out.
The adult teeth come up under the baby tooth and eat away the root as they come. It they don't come up under, the root doesn't get eaten away as it should.
If she isn't already fixed, have any deciduous baby teeth removed while she's already under anesthesia. It will save a load of trouble down the road.
