Background: four month old dog, going to classes in the spring (soonest he can get in), had issues with biting, but his behavior is improving. We also do nilf
My dog enjoys playing fetch in the house. He understands "drop it" and will bring the toy back on his own. Outside, he'll grab the toy and keep running. I bring him to me on the leash, have him drop it (and give a treat), but he sometimes pounces on the toy, and tries to grab it when I reach to pick it up. I trade him small bits of meat for the toy, but when he's outside, he thinks that he should have both. There are no problems inside, and he picked up the game very easily. Any ideas about what could be going on, and what I should do?
