so, a friend of mine tells me last night that her friend found a young lab pup on the side of the road. She doesn't even know if it's a boy or a girl. She's wanting to find a home for it but they are running out of options. She has one more place to try. There is no town shelter here and the regional rescue is full. So she asked me if I wanted it.
Guess what I said.....

Wow! Another one! Sounds like you're going to have a full sled team soon, LoL. Pics/names/etc. are appreciated. Scratch that, required.
lol well it's not final yet. I'm getting ahead of myself. Haven't seen the pup. Don't know the age. Don't even know the breed for sure! BUT I was thinking that walking pups two by two might be easier lol. And Mav would like a swimmer friend.

We posted at the same time. I don't have him/her yet. Really, I know nothing. Except I'm the last option. And the girl who wants to give her/him to me is exciting about the idea because she knows she can visit all the time.
I'll go visit steve a bit later and see if he heard anything. :D

Please, let us know soon. Is it too soon to start giving name suggestions?
I'm open to names. If it's a girl I want it to be something that goes well with Nanook. Can't be Nikita. In my heart that is still the name of Jamie's puppy. (long story if you missed that).
I'm trying to think of WHERE to keep a PUPPY since our new house has a pretty open layout and is not as big. The bathroom is pretty small. I think I'll have to get babygates and puppyproof the kitchen and put down paper.
and another kong. :p I may, or may not, be excited.

That puppy has been adopted :mad: tease tease tease. so I told steve that was TWICE he teased me about getting a puppy and NO PUPPY! So I think he's going to get me one. lol
forgot to mention that I'm not really mad about the pup getting a home of course. i was just excited about the idea

Well, sorry to hear you didn't get the pup. Just must have not been meant to be.
I still wanted to suggest a name for when you get another one...a name to go with your Nanook. I used to have a roommate with a Corgi named Shanook. Just an idea! ;)

They are great! I have one, had two, but one passed away. I miss the puppy stage. Labs need a LOT of interaction and stimulation or theyll get bored!!
