well im not verry good at this part...but here goes.
my name is Gemma im 21 years old, origionally from manchester england, now residing in connecticut USA...
i am a certified dog trainer and have my associates in animal behaviour, im currently working on a certificate in dog grooming and my BA in animal behaviour/psycology
animals are my life, however outside of that i am a singer, i love crafting and like to draw and paint. and im a Renny. i work at renaissance faires during the season as an actor/singer, my character is usually a saucy and "foxy" cabin wench aboard the pirate ship Raptor.
I currently have 2 long haired chihuahuas vixie a 1 1/2 yr old female chihuhaua and Dodger an 8 month olf blue fawn chihuahua, i have been involved with the breed my entire 21 years as my grandfather used to breed and im hoping to follow in his footsteps. im also currently looking for a larger breed dog preferably either a staffy or a deaf great dane puppy, of which im not relay interested in breeding id just like a larger dog also, its pretty cool because i work from home most of the time and when i dont my dogs get to come with me.
i am epileptic, and both my chihuahuas alert and respond to my seizures, thanks to them i havent had a problem in the entire year ive had vixie, i used to be terrified of leaving the house. now i still have some social anxiety issues but the dogs are making life easier for me to work through it.
ive also had lots of experience with most breeds as have been working in the dog training feild and showing dogs since i was 8...i used to own a deaf dane named "king" (who reacenlty passed at 11 years old and a male staffy "Digger" (who passed away at the age of 15 just before we moved to the USA) and my parents have always owned cocker spaniels, ive also had experience with most other breeds and gained alot of knowledge throughout my life...people are always impressd with how much i know for someoen of my age.
ive worked at shelters as well as veterinary clinics, im also a licensed wildlife rehabilitator (i speicalize in vector species specifically foxes and racoons, as well as birds of prey and corvids (crows jays ravens ect) so im always on my feet. ive been lucky in my likfe that ive had the oportunities to experience every area of the dog world and also much experience with other species.
umm other than that...i cant think of anything else to say...
