How can I train my dog to play frisbee. He can jump like crazy. So I think he would be a great frisbee dog but I have no idea how to train him to catch the frisbee and bring it back to me. Can anyone help me??

You should have him stay a few feet away from you and throw the frisbee.
Then keep moving farther and farther. Then Start throwing it higher and farther.

My dog will jump up and knock the frisbee or ball out of the air just so he can pick it up off the ground. You can tell that he is intentionally batting it down not just misssing a catch.
smok3dfish, does he like to play fetch? Frisbee is a natural extension of that. Jumping is only part of it. You can try a soft frisbee like a flying squirrel too, it's easier for them to catch which might help if he's just starting out. Also don't let a pup catch a hard frisbee till his teeth are all grown in.

Does he know "come"? Taunt him with the frisbee, and then throw it. Once he has caught it (don't worry if it falls on the ground and he then picks it up), encourage him to come to you. This should teach him that when you play frisbee, he has to bring the toy back to you.
