Roy ate his poop again for the first time in 6.5 months  . The last time he did that he was porbably 2.5-3 months old. Today I left him in the garage instead of the crate with lots of toys. I went back during lunch to check up on him and there were signs that he had pooped and ate it. I have 2 questions :

1. Why did he revert to this habit now and at the age of 9.5 months ?
2. If I take him to visit friends, he won't even do it anywhere on the street and holds himself until we return home and go to the park where he is used to go potty, why is he doing it in the garage ?

Thanks

He likely really had to go but knew it wasnt his potty spot so he ate it.Or he could have thought the garage was not like the house and decided it was ok to go potty.Sorry not much help but its 2 ideas.

He didn't want you to get mad so he ate the evidence. :)

Thanks for the responses. I'd rather he'd left the evidence especially that I have never punished him for it when he was younger.
