Chester has his first obedience class tonight. Wish us luck!! My son will be accompanying Chester and I and he is so excited! I sure hope it goes well.

I am taking him to a place called Hearts and Paws, which uses positive reinforcement to train, so I'm anxious to see how it works. All I've ever known is choke chain training, so this will be new to me.
It is costing me $145 for 6 one hour classes.

I'm very excited about the class we've started taking. Chester did very well and really responded to the positive reinforcement methods. I've tried using a choke chain on him in the past and he totally shut down and would have none of it. He actually cowered and basically refused to do anything. That certainly isn't the way to go with him, but this really seems to work with him!
And, honestly, I have no idea if it's expensive or not. I'm sure it's higher than PetSmart or similar places, but it's actually cheaper than other private training facilities. There is one here that charges $125 for 6 half hour classes. And after going tonight, I'd say it's going to be worth it. I'll have to get back to you on that, though.
