As distasteful as it is to us, eating feces is a normal behavior for most dogs. Fecal material is a significant part of the diet of most wild canids. Usually, however, they go for the feces of herbivores for the vegetable, fiber, and enzyme content.
I would walk your dog ON LEASH, prevent him from doing this, and pick up after each bowel movement.

According to the manufacturer, Prozyme increases absorption of the nutrients in the food. Prozyme works in the body once the food is ingested (after mixing the Prozyme with the food; it is not necessary to let the mixture stand before feeding). By increasing the nutrient intake from the diet, Prozyme is reported to help with immune and digestive disorders, poor coat and excessive shedding, skin problems, joint disorders, weight problems, allergies, lethargy, bloating, flatulence, and coprophagia (stool eating).

Ten years old and just started doing it? I would call the vet right away. Good luck keep us posted on what the vet says.
There are lots of threads about this on this forum. I could search and you would find this link ;)

This is a very normal behavior that dogs have. It is interesting that your dog just started doing this. Have you recently switched dog foods that may make the feces more appealing?
