how much does dog training cost?

Hey whats up? I would really like my pitbull puppy to grow up to be an obediant dog that will totally listen to me and obey my commands so I wanted to put him through training but how much does that stuff cost and how long are the programs? My dog is about 8 weeks old is he still to young or is this a good age? Also Im in Canada, British columbia area can anyone recommend some good schools or programs? Thanks :)
