What Breed Is This? [Archive] - Chazhound Dog Forum

This is my family's dog, Chinooks best friend, Hank. His eyes are yellow, you can't really see that in the picture. Does anyone have an idea of what cross breed he is? His father was a Choclate Lab. They said his mother was Shephard mix, we didn't get to see her. What are your thoughts? Thanks for your help.

Boy , what a cutie! He probably gets those green/yellow eyes from his pappa! A lot of chocolate labs have that eye color. Other than that, I wouldn't know what else he has in him. VERY CUTE though!!!:D

head shape looks like a german shepherd. I'd say lab x shepherd

I've seen eyes like that on a pointing griffon mix...don't know if that's what he is, but his eyes are quite striking regardless!

oh yeah. I forgot about the wirehaired pointing griffon. know someone who has one, his eyes arent quite yellow, I guess sort of a amber-ish color...somewhere in between the normal almond brown dog eyes and yellow eyes.
I dont really see any other WHPG features in him though. I would say german shepherd or husky mixed with lab. I say husky (maybe) because of the shape of his muzzle and head.
