Hey everyone i have got a pitbull puppy 8 weeks old now i have taught her how to sit, come here, stay and jump up on my lap. i am yet to train her more but i need help with one major think.
She keeps biting my ankles and wen i go to play with her she bites me extra hard usually i just scream at her or leave her outside n go inside. But lately this isnt doing anything should i just give her a smack on the bum or is there a way to work around it ? i was told u should always try working around hitting them.
She has many toys such as Kongs, dental bones, dog toys u can buy from supermarkets, stuffed toys, soccor balls, a few small pillows. i was told from somone she is bored but with all this she shouldnt be should she ? and i still take her for runs and walks n play with her

How old was she when you got her? She sounds like she's displaying normal puppy play-biting, but it's still something you shouldn't encourage. When she bites you in play yell "OUCH!", get up and leave. Come back in a few minutes and initiate play. Make sure she knows that it's your idea to play. If she gets too rough or mouthy again, OUCH and leave. Eventually she'll get the idea that biting makes you leave. And don't play with her if she initiates it, that gives her the idea that she can make you do what she wants. NEVER hit your dog! It will only make her wary and possibly encourage her to bite you for real without warning because she has been punished for warning before.

Toys are great, but one-on-one interaction time is always the best. Play tug of war, teach her to fetch, etc. Use the toys you have to encourage a deeper bond between you two.

Good luck and we're here to help!
