Looks like a chihuahua mix to me, the nose is a teensy bit wide.

Rottiegirl... how many dogs do you have and what kind are they??

Aw, they are both cute. He does look part chi to me if not all chi. Does he have a slight underbite? That might be why his nose looks wider than normal. No matter what he's a cutie for sure.

He has a curly tail, which makes me think hes part pom. Yeah, he does have an underbight. his front teeth always shows.

Def. Chi. If there were Pom in him, his fur would be of a different texture. Chi tails are supposed to stand or curl up. I know that he isn't fullbred. Pit/Chi is a possibility.
Does he get along with your Shar Pei/Bull Terrier?

Holly was getting too rough with my chihuahua, and she almost broke his back leg. I have to take him to the vet, because he will not use the leg. She also had major issues that my boyfriend could not deal with. She was emotionaly deteriated from all the abuse she endured from previous owners. She would uncontrolably urinate everywhere, as well as defecate. She was scared of anything and everything, to the point where she refused to go outdoors. She was constantly hiding and shivering. She would chew and chew and chew, no mater what. She would injure herself from breaking out of a crate, so crate training was imposible. I would force her to go outside, and after 3 minutes she tryed to break through a window to get back inside. My boyfriend finaly told me to find her a new home, so thats what I did. She is now with a couple who can devote 100% of their time working with her. That is what the poor girl needed.

Chi tails are not supposed to curl, they are supposed to be Moderately long, carried sickle either up or out, or in a loop over the back, with tip just touching the back. Chewys tail completely curls over the back, in a tight loop. His hair is longer on his tail. His face looks pit, but he is only 12 pounds. how could a chi mate with a pit? sounds weird. but he is definately part chi!

Hey rottiegirl, isn't this the same brown dog from the thread you did in October?
http://www.chazhound.com/forums/showthread.php?t=12939

So I'll just copy what Renee said, "There's obviously some Chihuahua in there, but the rest is probably obscured in a real mixture of several breeds going back several generations. I seriously doubt that's just a two breed mix in that little guy ;) "

So which is it? A Chi tail that supposedly isn't supposed to curl or what? Plus, the possibilities for what dog can breed with what dog are nearly endless. Pit could have very well been a female, Chihuahua the boy. It could and has happened that way.
12lbs. is far too large for a Chi or a Pom. Chis are to weigh no more than 6lbs. Poms are to be in the 3-7lb. area. 12lbs. indicates a larger dog was invlolved in the breeding of Chewy.

chewys tail isnt in just one loose loop over his back, his tail is in a very tight loop. He has a pom tail, and chis are not supposed to have curled tails. Sickle shaped is different than a complete curl, and if a chi did have a curly tail, he would be disqualified. He is bigger than a chi and a pom, and he does look part pit. Its definately a possibility he has pit in him, but maybe it could be staffie in him. Staffies are smaller than pits. I just talked to his previous owner, and she said that his mom was a large chi and his dad was a pomeranian mix who had a really big head and little eyes.

I'd say Chi x Pit too. Or at least Chi x Pit-mix.

Since the dog is a mix, it doesn't matter what the pure breeds are suppose to look like. The parents of the dog could have been badly bred anyway..so who knows what was going on with the tails. LOL
