Hannah gets very...excited over treats or basically any type of food. If you go to give her a treat she will almost take your hand off to get it. She never really bites though just is really anxious to get the treat. Today she jumped up on the couch and took the food right out of my daughter's hand. It scared the heck out of my daughter. I want to try and teach her not to be so rough when excepting treats (or stealing people's food:D ) but I do not know how. I have been saying gentle everytime I give her a treat and trying to make her take the treat gently but that doesn't really seem to work (although I've only been doing it for like two days). Does anyone have any suggestions on how to teach her to be more gentle with treats?

Doggie Zen :-)
She gets the treat when she forgets the treat basically.
Here is a link that describes it... It worked wonders for me :-)

Hi
a good idea here is to never give her anything befor you give here permission,
Hold the treat in your hand and wait untill she looks at you then as fast as you can, tell her she can take it, also a good thing to do when giving her her food. after a while she will sit and stare at you untilll you tell her it´s ok to take it and you ´ll be able to drop food on the floor without her taking it without your "ok"
