Well Hannah spent some time in the emergency vet clinic last night. We took her to my parent's house when we went trick or treating last night but we couldn't bring her door to door because she was going nuts with all the people so she stayed home with my brother. My brother had the dogs outside while he was passing out candy and went inside for another bag. Well Lily went with him but Hannah stayed outside. My brother came back and found Hannah being fed candy or something by these two teenagers, he told them not to feed her and they stopped but he didn't know how much that she had eaten. So we got back and on our way home she started throwing up and had the runs really bad so we took her to the vets right away. I am SO mad, they must have fed her something other than candy because I don't see a little candy bar making a dog her size as sick as she was. She's better though and that's all that matters, she has an appointment with her vet in a little bit and hopefully he'll give her the all clear.

Hope she has a speedy recover.that was a terrible thing for them to do! .all pets should be kept in on halloween and closely supervised..that night tends to bring out the best AND the worst in people. My neighbors found their siamese kitten dead and i will skip the details but after seeing that i have always made sure everyone was under lock and key.

I would have prefered to keep them inside but my parent's hate dogs so they had to stay in the garage my brother said he'd keep an eye out on the while we were gone and I thought he'd leave them run loose in the garage but he opened the door so they could go in the yard too. I tihnk she is doing ok now, hubby is at the vet with her now, probably just ate a couple pieces of candy and got an upset tummy. She has a very sensitive stomach.

she seems to be better now. She got a clean bill of health from our vet and she's back to creating mischief now. The vet said we should probably shouldn't feed her any people food, non-healthy treats (rawhides), basically her regular dog food and the eagle pack holistic treats that she gets. It seems anytime she gets anything like the rawhides or sometimes the pedigree jumbones or the busy bones she will get really sick. She has not gotten sick when fed just her kibble and the treats. So that is what we are going to try to see if she doesn't stay better.

hmmm that is great glad to hear... which mine had a treat they could eat without have to worry about stinking diarrhea
Glad to hear she's doing better!
I've noticed other dogs at work having "issues" with the busy bones as well, so Hannah isn't alone in that.

Glad she's better now. Gosh I wish people wouldn't feed other peoples dogs food without permission!!

Glad to hear all is well. Stupid teens they want nothing more than to create mishief (no offense to those on here) but there are those who go out of their ways to do stuff like this. Makes me so irratated.

I don't know if they did it on purpose or not, they were probably just thinking they were giving her a treat or something. Either way she will be inside for every halloween from now on.

Yeah, I think they didn't feed Hannah to intentionally make her ill. Some people just aren't as knowledgable as we are when it comes to dogs. I'm glad Hannah is feeling better!
