Puppy number 1 is here we have a female!!!!!!!!!
OMG!!! That's so exciting. And it's still today so I was still right lol I amused myself.

Sorry I did'nt get back with anouther update I was so busy last night and by the time it was all over I was so tired I just wanted to lay down.
We have 8 puppies and one content mum who just seems to be happy its all over lol. We have 4 females and 4 males (funny I know)!!!! All doing well so far and just chowing down. Shady is a great mum so far and is very protective of her babies and lets out a low growl when anyone but me comes near the pups. She is constantly snuggling closer to them and cleaning them and making sure no one wonders too far away from the group. I will post which pups are named what in awhile and then we will have puppy pics!!!

Here come the names!!!
The Boys Names
Boy #1- he is the runt of the litter but already my favorite I named him Ailill meaning Elf. Has a dark muzzle like his mum.
Boy #2- was the first born male of the litter and shairing his mums facial chracteristics I named him Brocc meaning badger or sharp faced.
Boy#3- we thought we lost once but we got him back and is doing fine and now thriving amongst the litter (Still keeping an eye on him though). Because of his strength and will to survive we named him Conall meaning strong as a wolf. Once again anouther Shady close look wise lol.
Boy#4- the fourth and final pup is our only completely tan puppy of the males group lol and I like to nickname him "Little Rooney" but his true name is Brion meaning noble or high no particular reason why mainly because he looks the most like Rooney.
The Girls names
Girl #1- our first born pup and the biggest (lol even bigger then the boys right now lol) Her name is Órlaith meaning golden Princess she is a fair haired creamy tan girl and is just beautiful.
Girl #2- is the second born chasing after Orlaith lol her name is Fianait meaning wild creature because she seems to have the most get up and go of the whole litter and has already growled!!! And she does it to her advantage lol. I see a future alpha in her really and she looks exactly like her mum did as a pup and if her personality matches her mums at all she will live up to her name lol.
Girl#3- a beautiful little girl with lots of spirit and definatly likes to wonder off and stand out anouther Shady clone lol I named her Meadhbh meaning she who she who intoxicates and I can see her living up to her name as she is already anouther favorite of mine :).
Girl#4- is going to be the clown I can tell already of the litter lol. She gives her mum the most problems already scooting away and sitting on siblings head trying to get the best teat lol. I named her Ceara meaning fiery red because she is a darker pup and just a trip to be around.

Eli was one of a litter of 10 .... just looked up my records... We had 3 litters of 10 !! Others were 7 and 8.

WOW! No litters of 10 yet for me though my father had one dog who had a litter that big on their farm but that was years ago.

They were a handful , but great fun to socialize !! Could watch them for hours ! Luckily Mom took good care of them and I never had to suppliment. So great to see that pile of puppers !

So sorry i forgot about her I feel really bad (because of her lol I feel bad I forgot her).

lol yeah I won't be sleeping good for three more weeks (I will be sleeping on the cot in the room with Shady and the pups for the next 3 weeks just to keep an eye on things) so i will probley be off for awhile in my head. Its all worth it though I love these little pups.
