Harley is about 4 1/2 months. My kids each got really small pumpkin on Tuesday. We were keeping an eye on them to make sure that they wouldn't drop it on the floor. Well I guess we looked away for a minute & that all it took for one of then to drop if & Harley to eat a little more then half of it. Everything seemed fine until yesterday morning at 4:00. Then he started throwing up a bunch. I figured that it was just him getting the pumpkin out of his system. He was fine all day yesterday & last night. Then again 4:00 this morning he started throwing up again. I took up outside & stuff was coming out the other end. Harley has been potty trained for a while now. He signaled me that he was to go outside & 2 senconds later peed on the floor. He was outside like 15 minutes before that. I don't now if it's the pumpkin or not. This is the worst month for this to happen because we are broke. If I wasn't broke I would be at the vet right. If I have to I will find a way to take him, but I wan't to know if there was anything else that could be done.

Thanks!!

I know giving a dog pure pumpkin is good to stop diarrhea
so at least can't be poisonous but eating that much
I don't know - hopefully it will pass through and be ok

try feeding your dog some boiled hamburg and rice mixture
this should settle the tummy and bowels

Is he behaving normally? If he has other symptoms (lethargy, diarrhea), I would take him to the vet, otherwise you can wait a couple days to see if he gets better. Try not giving him food for a day or giving him a blend diet (lean meat and rice, or boiled chicken and rice).

I called the vet to see if they had any ideas. They said that they want to see him & will work out a payment plan. That you for you suggestion GSDMOM.

Don't feed him anything for 24hrs from the last time you fed him. Offer plenty of water, but NO FOOD. Pumpkin contains so much fiber he could be very constipated which causes vomiting and yes pumkin works either way! It can speed up or slow bowels and severe constipation can be very nausiating (sp). My pug was once very ill and it turned out we took him to the vet and they did x-rays...he was so constipated from eating way too many plums off our plum tree LOL!!! :D

Thank you so much everybody. I took him to the vet. They said that he'll be having these problems for about 2 more days then he'll be back to normal. They gave medication to stop the vomiting. I so happy that's he's Ok!
