Hi everyone! I have a six year old boxer, lately I have notice when she urinates it has a little blood in it and it smells awful. Is this a sign of urinary tract infection or something worse?
Any feedback would be appreciated.

Could it have anything to do with the fact that she only urinates maybe 3 x a day?

Definetely sounds like a urinary tract infection. Does it have an odor to it? Also, is she spayed? If not, then it could just be blood from her period.

Make a vet appt. :) They might need a urine sample too.
A clean dustpan taped to a broom handle can be used to get one.
When she squats, slip it under her, from the side. :eek:

vet asap it could be a number of things... crystals... uti.... and other things it could be pyometra if she isnt fixed. or it could also be pyometra if she is and they didnt take all her organs.. there are a number of things it could be but the only way to make sure it is okay is to take her to the vet because pyometra stinks in its worse stages and sometimes you can get infection from having UTI or crystals that arent taken care of... but i am really inclined to say it isnt uti or anything urinary because she only goes 3 times aday... normally something like that will be lots of times a day with very little urine.
