Ok well it is set, this Friday she is going her for the BIG FIX.... Any ideas on how to help her once she comes home (oh yeah she is my pitbull) I am hoping to that she gets big and FAT (not to sound mean) so she will quit jumping my fence and I can just let her out to potty and come on in. With winter on its way I dont leave my dogs outside only long enough to potty and come back in..... Any advice, suggestions etc are welcomed.

Oh please don't hope she gets fat to stop jumping. You still want her in good health. How tall of a fence do you have?

Well... when you say BIG FIX she is getting spayed right? Well... just keep her calm and don't let her pick at those stitches :)

I doubt that will make her get very fat. We were hoping it would calm our lab down after getting fixed. No way in the world did she calm down in the least bit. Maybe make the fence higher? I hope just make her a nice comfy bed to lay in. I kept mine crated after getting fixed for a day but they didn't seem to like being crated when they came home. I just didn't want them getting wild with the other doggies.

When Precious was spayed, I made her a little pallet of blankets in my bedroom floor and laid her on her side. She was really woozy from the anesthesia and pain med, but still in a lot of pain. So, we all took turns laying beside her and giving her a few drops of water through a syringe, since she hadn't drank in nearly 24hrs.

My fence is a 8 foot fence to begin with and up and over she goes. It cant get any bigger than what it is. I dont want to keep her chained outside as I have to now for her safety and the safety of others.

Well the hours are counting down for her fix. I take her at 7:15 am today. I know not to feed her or let her drink, and with it being so early then I will be fine. I am going to move her crate to my room (this will make Izzy very upset as she cant be without her) and keep an eye on her. They are supplying the meds and collar in the price of the spay, and will keep food and water on hand for her. I will let you know how she does

Don't let her jump around, she could tear the incision or stitches. Give Nalla some lovies from me!

I felt so bad for her, she was so scared, didnt like the big ugly metal cage. They gave her 2 shots, 1 to calm her down a bit and another for surgery. I pick her up around 1 today. I already have a quiet and semi dark area for her. I will move her into my room later today, I have a therapy appt with my daughter so I dont want her to be out and about without me home. Will keep you updated

I picked her up and she was so shaken. And with her short hair, very very cold. She is lying down now on a nice fluffy blanket sleeping. Hahaha she was not having anything to do with the lamp shade, I will only use it when I cant be there by her side. They said she did really well, they were surprised how alert she was and she just wanted to get the heck out of dodge.

Well update. Nalla is resting peacefully in my room on my bed :) She knows mommy will cuddle with her and keep her warm :) Poor Izzy B doesnt know what to do what to do though she watched me leave with her this morning but didnt see her when we brought her home. I am not letting her near Nalla right now as Izzy is still a bit hyper and dont want to get Nalla to worked up. I will let her see her tomorrow for a few minutes. Thanks all for all the suggestions on what to do with her once I got her home.
