As in, we dont need them, and waaaay above the level of other dogs in the class but we still go because we like the interaction and socialization?
I have like 6 diplomas of completion on my wall :p

Six??? Sounds like a good idea to keep up with classes then. They are indeed fun! I love agility in particular, so does Lyric.
I take Dakota to the only training classes in this town.. Once a week. He loves it, he gets to look down on all the other dogs and go "Heh, I'm better than you!" I wonder sometimes if there will be enough room in the car after class for his ego.
The trainer is a friend of mine and although I don't use her methods, my dog demonstrates and acts as a distraction. (While people are working with their dogs, I will be proofing some of Dakota's exercises, heeling him around as a distraction, etc.) I don't take part in the class, not only because he understands what I want him to do, but because I don't want to mess up his training by changing our training around to a method he doesn't understand.
I'm hoping to find an advanced (I'd even be fine with intermediate if they taught it.) obedience class that uses positive methods, because I want him to learn things such as the retrieve and scent discrimination. (He retrieves just fine, but not formally.)

No, but I'm thinking of getting Tippy in a class just to work on her dog aggression....she knows a ton of commands and I can train her just fine on my own.

bowies gone through multiple levels of classes that were way below what he could do, but it keeps him active and thinking.
the last class we took was with dogs that could barely sit and focus on their owners, much less do the attention heeling and off leash work bowie and i would work on.
i only took that class to work in a different situation for distractions.

Its a good idea, if you have nothing else to do with your dog...
It keeps them friendly with other dogs, if they dont get the socialization normally.
Its also a good plan to keep "refreshed" on the training as well.
I know once Riot gets his Obedience titles done with he'll move onto something else, so he will never be in the need to keep going to classes hes been to already.

Ugh... There is no need. I do them for fun and because my dog likes being there.
