I was just lying on the bed with Brady and I noticed his nose was running. Not bad, just a little and it was clear like water. Well, it was a little drippy. I have noticed it before sitting by that window. Do you think it could be an allergy, or something else?

They all do that every now and again. Sometimes it's just the changing seasons/temperatures. As long as it's clear, he's not acting "off" and it doesn't continue for a prolonged period (like a few days), I wouldn't worry about it being allergies or anything terribly momentous, especially if he's up on his vaccinations.

Have you noticed any of his doggy friends acting like they might be sick? LOL! Sometimes it's just like kids going to school and catching colds from each other.

LOL! That makes sense. No I haven't noticed, they all play fine when they are together. he usually only is with Jenny most of the time anyway. I did take him over to his german shepherd friend - Birger's house this afternoon. They played and had a big time, and i went home and cleaned. They also only live down the street. It is so nice b/c there are a lot of people with bigger dogs around my neighborhood, so there is usually someone to go play with. But his nose has been better this afternoon.

I'm always so late to see things, but I'll respond anyway.

I've noticed that Duke's nose usually starts to run when he sees a cat (which he's scared of by the way) or when he's just scared. For him I think it's a nerves/emotion kinda thing. It looks exactly as you described, clear and watery. Maybe it's the same case with your boy, only it might be something else other than fear that triggers it.

Just a thought.

The first time I noticed Bishop was doing that, I was scared that there was something wrong with him! Of course, I had to pull out all my books on dogs and dog health. I realized that the clear liquid was normal. Boy, I was releaved!

That is an idea. It does usually occur when he is staring out the window keeping watch over the neighborhood. He is really intense when he is staring out the window so maybe that has something to do with it. He is always watching to see who is walking by our house. I don't know if he does that because he has some sort of a watchdog in him or if it is because our house was broken into when he was just a puppy. (only 2 weeks after we got him).

My dog Mocha got the same problem from 2 days ago.....but I think he's more serious. His nose is running very bad,it makes his mouth and his neck are all wet..especailly when he's sleeping.even though it's clear water,I found out inside of his mouth is a little sticky. I brought him to the dog care already, they tested his blood and the report says it's not allergy, and they said everything else's fine~~~! Anybody has any idea about this? I am very worry about Mocha.Thx!!!!
