Akita Mix

Ok as you might already know I may be adopting a adult Akita Mix. I owned a Siberian Husky named Pashka but she lives with my father do to a divorce and I havent seen her in over a year. Anyways im just wondering if there is any akita owners out there or spitz type dog owners. Anyways do you think a Akita mix should be groomed the same as a husky you know same brushes and all?

I think so, it's a very similar type of coat, but I think an Akita's coat may be a little thicker.

I had a GSD/Akita mix for many years, and the only thing I really had to do was keep him brushed to keep that monster undercoat brushed out. In the springtime all the birds around my neighborhood had fancy, fur lined nests :D
