My daughter just got a golden retriever..it came in heat the very next day..she called me and said mom how to i protect my carpet..i said get some briefs..turn them around so the fly is on the upside..pull the tail thru that..use a maxi pad. She called me later..said THanks mom that worked great..i said i know..but oh my are they ever embarrassed.

for my messier girl i have an old pair of streach shorts with a tail hole cut in it and stick them in that i get about the same reaction.

Anyways I just bred her and Rooney for mating session #1 (out of 6 sessions the will have) and they just came untied and their seperated again now. Pushed Rooney outside and Shady in the bedroom. She seemed alittle confused lol but she's ok now.

Chinooks seem like some cool dogs- I'd love to see what they're like as puppies. I saw one picture of a chin that you had and it looked almost identical to a German shepherd.

I wonder if they've got any of the same behavioral traits.

Yeah some do and some don't some have upright ears some don't. Its a breed with very little conformation rules and us breeders of the Chinook like it that way. They were bred idealy for sledding but can also do herding and service dog work.

I had a litter that were ready to go at Christmas but had videos taken as a surprise....( if they were a present ) Worked well as that's no time for a pup to go to it's new home.

That's a very smart idea. I wonder how many other people would have thought of that.

One was really cute. The pup was a surprise from a wife to her hubby. He wanted one of Bubba's pups so badly. I wrapped the bottom and the lid of a box and put a huge bow on top. The pup raised the lid and peeked out, then jumped out. He cried when he saw it Christmas morning.
